There will be free morning, afternoon & evening classes that will range from basic computer skills to advanced computer skills, the reading circle, parenting classes, financial literacy, yoga & meditation, an dmore. |The King Holiday Observance week Kick-Off Reception is the opening event for a week of honoring the life and work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The reception takes place on Tuesday, Jan 15th from 6pm – 8pm in Freedom Hall at the King Center @ 449 Auburn Ave NE, Atlanta, GA 30312. The reception will conclude with a presentation of the Dream Forward Community Service Awards in the following categories:|

|Historic Westside Gardens Atlanta will host a “Gardening and Cooking Matters” class on January 29th and 30th. HWG believes that access to fresh, healthful and affordable food is a right which many families residing in Atlanta’s Westside are lacking. Historic Westside Gardens (HWG) is dedicated to empowering individuals in the Westside neighborhoods to grow their own food and strengthen their community. The gardening and cooking matters class at the end of this month is part of the HWG’s mission to create a rooted, powerful, and resilient Westside one gardener at a time. |
|Alvin Ailey will be performing at the Fox Theater February 21st through February 24th. This year’s Atlanta performance is part of the Destination Dance Ailey Atlanta program, whose mission is to engage Atlanta’s vibrant cultural community through partnerships between Ailey’s Dance Theater and Atlanta-based cultural, civic, and educational organizations like the Fox.
